Renovations of St James Centre in Edinburgh are going to include facilities for cyclists, says the latest report.

The new leisure and retail quarter will have a cycling garage where commuters can park their bikes and will also have showers and locker rooms for their use. This is part of a plan to make Edinburgh a more cycle-friendly city.

The development is being undertaken by TIAA Henderson Real Estate and is expected to cost £850 million.

We asked members of the public for their opinion, and the verdict is unanimous – there is a definite need for more cyclist support in Edinburgh.
