Andres Behring Breivik, the Norwegian convicted of murdering 77 people in 2011, has threatened to starve himself to death unless his prison conditions improve.

Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison in prison in 2012, for a bombing in the Norwegian city of Oslo, and the shooting of 69 people on the island of Utøya.

Breivik claims that he has been kept in isolation for nearly a month now, and is only allowed one hour of time outside of his cell a day, and has been subjected to poor treatment, such as being served cold coffee. He states that these conditions have forced him to drop out of a political science course at the University of Oslo, which he enrolled in in July.

Breivik is the only prisoner on hunger strike in Skien prison, where has been an inmate for three years now.
