Police are questioning a man in connection with a 21 year old murder case.
Derek Sheerin was found dead near Celtic Football Club’s stadium in the east end of Glasgow in September 1994.
The 24-year-old had been strangled and the case has been named one of Scotland’s most notorious unsolved murders.
The victim’s half-naked body was covered in weeds and discovered by three teenage girls nearly a day later.
The 39-year-old suspect was taken to Glasgow after the arrest in Londonderry, Northen Ireland, on Monday.
Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and Police Scotland were involved in the joint arrest operation.
