Botanic Gardens Light Show Returns

After enjoying a sell out run of performances and welcoming more than 23, 000 visitors last October, the Botanic Gardens light show is back for its second year, opening tomorrow.

Named ‘Seasons in Colour’, the walking tour uses light, water and fire to take you through each of the four seasons.

Organisers Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), Unique Events and Black Light have said that this year’s event will be unforgettable, but are keeping everything under wraps.

New technology is being used to impress visitors, with rumours of the use of 3D projection to highlight some of the Botanic’s buildings and plants.

The show has been designed by leading Scottish lighting artist Grant Anderson and composer Claire McKenzie to create a ‘unique night-time experience’.

Apart from the award winning light show, there’s mulled wine on offer and you can maybe catch a glimpse of the Garden’s wildlife, such as badgers, bats and foxes.

The show is set to run until the 22nd of November and tickets start at £14, with concessions and family deals.
