First female principal appointed at famous Gordonstoun school

Gordonstoun was founded in 1934

Gordonstoun School has appointed its first female principal in its 82-year history. Lisa Kerr, who currently sits on the regulatory board at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, will assume her role in 2017. She will succeed Simon Reid, the current Gordonstoun principal, who joined in 2010.

Former pupils of the Gordonstoun, which is one of Scotland’s highest-rated fee-paying schools, include royals Prince Charles, Prince Andrew and the Lossiemouth-based, Olympic gold medal-winning rower Heather Stanning.
