George Galloway ‘attacked with glitter’ at Aberdeen University

Police had to be called to Aberdeen University last night after former MP George Galloway “was attacked with glitter” as he was giving a lecture.

A group of five protestors were removed from the arena and Galloway finished his talk.

Galloway later tweeted: “Someone calling themselves ‘Trans’ and an ‘anarchist’ led a five person attack on me on the platform at Aberdeen University. I continued.”

He later tweeted that he had an “unknown substance in my eyes and lungs and feel a little unwell”

Police confirm that a call came in at 7:45 pm after reports of a disturbance. A spokesperson for the police said that “Inquiries are at an early stage and no further details are available at this time,” he said.
