With jobs from software engineers, data scientists, infrastructure engineers to project managers, this is the first step in Incremental Group’s ambitious three year expansion plan.

Incremental Group CEO and co-founder, Neil Logan, said: “The Regional Selective Assistance support will really help us accelerate our plans to build a new kind of digital technology business that the government and industry trust to help them evolve. I know we will only achieve this if we employ brilliant people and Glasgow is a great place to be for digital talent.”

The company plans to expand over the next three years to employ 180 people, generating annual revenues approaching £20m across the UK. Currently based in Aberdeen and Glasgow, Incremental Group employs 40 digital specialists, with plans to grow this team in Aberdeen and Glasgow, with a London office scheduled to open in April.

The investment of £500,000 comes as part of the Regional Selective Assistance support from Scottish Enterprise, a grant available for businesses who want to develop a project in Scotland.

Adrian Gillespie, managing director of growth companies, innovation and infrastructure at Scottish Enterprise said: “The 48 jobs this move will create are a welcome boost to the local economy and underline the huge contribution that our digital sector makes to sustainable economic growth.”

The business works with the government and industry to deliver the digital enterprise, with current clients including Aberdeen City Council, and Highlands and Islands Airports.

Minister of business, innovation and energy, Paul Wheelhouse, said: “48 new jobs is a welcome investment for Glasgow’s technology service industry, harnessing the undoubted talent that is to be found within the city.”
