Celtic are looking to take their record breaking 26 game unbeaten streak a step further this evening when they take on Aberdeen at Celtic Park.
The Scottish champions will be without several of their star players when they face the dons tonight. Strikers Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths are unavailable for Brendan Rodgers with midfielders Stuart Armstrong, Eboue Kouassi and Tom Rogic also missing out through injury.
Aberdeen have a full strength squad to pick from, with the exception of Ryan Christie who is not allowed to play for his parent club due to the terms of his loan agreement.
Third place Aberdeen go to Celtic Park with a terrible record, losing their last 23 games at the home of the champions. Celtic will look to extend their advantage at the top of the leage table to 25 points.
The game comes a day after it was revealed that star striker Moussa Dembele would be staying at the club amid reported interest from premier league clubs including league leaders Chelsea. Goalkeeper Craig Gordon was also a target for the London club, but the experienced shot stopper will also be staying at Parkhead.
Aberdeen also held on to their players in demand after it was announced that in-demand attacker Johnny Hayes would be staying at the club. Interest from Cardiff City sparked rumours that Hayes would be leaving Pittodrie in January but with the window closing last night it seems Hayes will be staying until summer at least.
