Council finds “no evidence” linking local park with dog deaths

A council investigation into the deaths of six dogs has so far found no link to the Forthquarter Park in Granton, Edinburgh.

A spokesperson for the council said that while they were still investigating, the park would not be closing. The investigation came after the group Friends of West Pilton raised concerns about the park as each of the dogs had to be put down after walking in the park. The deaths have all occurred since the new year.

The park is near the former site of a gasworks and extensive work had been done to decontaminate the area ten years previously.

EN4 News reporter Brogan Howie went down to the park to get the thoughts of dog walkers at the park about the recent events.
