Police Confiscate Knife From Pupil on Primary School Bus

A pupil in the Badenoch and Strathspey area was carrying a knife whilst on a primary school bus.

The knife was reportedly confiscated by the bus driver before the vehicle had reached the school.

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed in a statement that the knife “was never taken onto school grounds.”

The incident occurred on September 15 and comes after figures were released showing that five dangerous weapons have been taken onto school grounds throughout the Highlands in the last year, the highest number in a decade.
