Gorgie Farm gets ready to stand up for some laughter

Five comedians will take the stage tonight at the Stand Comedy Club in hopes of aiding Gorgie City Farm raise money and gain popularity.

The Stand Comedy Club is hosting a charity benefit night in aid of the Gorgie City Farm and Café with popular comedians such as Jamie Macdonald and Ross Leslie appearing.

EN4 News was able to converse with one of their staff members, Sarah Campbell, to learn more about what the farm does and their reasons for doing so.

Sarah is the development and fundraising manager of Gorgie Farm and has been working there for 7 years.

Throughout the interview, she talks us through several subjects such as what will be happening tonight at the comedy charity benefit night and why they decided on this event.

“Doing a public event, it gets us in front of people and it gets us going.” Campbell explained.

“It’s good to be out there and showing that we’re thriving and stronger than ever.”
