It’s been a busy day so far for both Edinburgh clubs. Gregor Kerr brings you the latest.

13:00 – MCGINN TO HIBS

Hibernian have announced the signing of defender Paul McGinn, brother of former Hibs hero John, on an 18-month deal.

Manager Jack Ross has been in the market for a full-back after Jason Naismith was ruled out for the season earlier in the month.

 

12:35 – DONE DEAL – WILSON LEAVES ABERDEEN

Striker James Wilson has left Aberdeen to join English League Two side Salford City on a permanent deal.

Wilson made 48 appearances for the Dons after moving to Scotland from Manchester United, first on loan before joining permanently last summer. He scored four goals for the club.

Wilson joins former Dons striker Adam Rooney in making to move from Aberdeen to Salford, who are owned by former Manchester United stars David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary and Phil Neville.

12:20 – HENDRY STAYING PUT

St Johnstone striker Callum Hendry has put pen to paper on a new deal that will see him stay at McDiarmid Park until 2022.

He has four goals this season in what has been a bleak campaign for the Saints so far.

Barnsley have snapped up St Mirren midfielder Ethan Erhahon on loan until the summer.

The 18-year old has found first-team opportunities limited this season, and joins the side second-bottom in the EFL Championship.

 

10:30 – HEARTS BOLSTER MIDFIELD OPTIONS

Hearts have confirmed the signing of Schalke 04 midfielder Marcel Langer until the end of the season.

The German has become the fourth signing for Daniel Stendel in this window, as the Jam Tarts look to lift themselves from the foot of the Scottish Premiership table.

 

10:00 – DONE DEAL

Rangers have announced the loan signing of Ianis Hagi from Genk until the end of the season, with an exclusive option to buy.

The Romanian midfielder said: ““Being in such a huge club and having this mentality of winning every game made me take this decision and I am really happy.”
